Welcoming Edward Wild, Furniture Designer-Maker

Great to be welcoming Edward Wild into the Teer & Co fold of Designer Makers.

Ed joins us to offer his skills as an established and award winning designer-maker of handcrafted furniture to support our management of bespoke commission work for interior designers, architects and private clients.

His one-off commissions and limited-edition elegant pieces combine the finest materials with skilled craftsmanship, to create pieces that enrich their surroundings and see clients returning time and again. 

The clean contemporary style with strong simple lines found throughout Ed’s work are strongly influenced by classical form and proportion going back to the ancient Greeks alongside the modernist movement of the early 20th century and the Brutalist modernist architecture of the UK in the 1950s-60s. With simplified elegant form emphasised by detail lines and beautiful woods, these characteristics allow his versatile pieces to sit pleasingly within both contemporary and traditional settings.

Following is a small selection of his work which can all be customised if required. 

Ed focuses on free standing pieces which include; side tables, desks and chests of drawers alongside fine luxury boxes through to elegant dining, lounge and bedroom furniture. Each piece is a celebration of the collaborative process, from the first pencil drawings to the bespoke design and intricate hand craftsmanship of the final piece.

His passion for quality craftsmanship extends beyond the design and making to the sourcing of timbers - with a brother in the forestry industry he is able to source both interesting and beautiful timber which help make his work truly unique.
