Coming Soon: 'Rustic' 2D & 3D Wall Panels
You may be familiar with the beautiful and popular Decorative Panelling range in our online Collection.
Since the introduction of this range by our friends Form At Wood in Poland, the panels have only been offered and made from carefully selected prime grade sustainably-sourced oak timber boards to ensure the highest quality luxurious aesthetic, without any of the natural imperfections of wood on show.
For some however, the beauty of wood lies in its natural character and the typically visible imperfections that we might expect to see including knots, discolouration, cracks, etc.
In the image above you see 4 x Pillow EDGE Series 3D Wall Panels. The two panels on the left are the carefully selected prime grade oak panels we currently offer, displaying the beauty and unique wood grain of each panel without any of the natural imperfections of wood. The two panels on the right are Rustic oak panels that display some of the natural imperfections of timber.
Which do you prefer, the Select oak or Rustic oak panels?
The environmental and commercial benefits of introducing Rustic oak panels are clear:
Sourcing the sustainable timber boards for Rustic oak panels is made easier as access to certified suppliers increases. The making of these panels requires timber boards of appropriate widths.
A more sustainable solution. The making process can utilise a higher percentage of the sourced timber boards and further minimise waste material.
The range of Decorative Panelling can be categorised into different classes of timber and priced accordingly. Rustic oak panels can be offered at a lower price per sqm compared with the carefully selected prime grade oak panels currently offered.
Please let us know whether you see Rustic panels are an attractive proposition for interiors. We’ll provide further details on the planned introduction of Rustic 2D & 3D Wall Panels very soon.
Meantime, if you have any questions or would like to discuss an installation of the current Decorative Panelling we offer then give us a call on 07957 627052 or email simon@simonteer.com.
