Jason Smith
Jason is a multi-talented designer whose creativity spans; interiors, accessories and furnishings, to products, artworks and objet d'art.
It gives us great pleasure to announce that Teer & Co will be collaborating with his practice JASON SMITH - DESIGN across contemporary interiors and exploring new sustainable timber furnishings for private and commercial spaces.
Alongside the more commercial work Jason has become known for over the last 25 years, travelling the world designing spatial solutions for private clients and global brands, he loves exploring how we interact with and experience environments and the three dimensional form.
Central to his work is the goal of reconceiving and transforming the ordinary and everyday into the desirable, valuable, sustainable and collectable. Passionate about sustainable design, lux cycling, reducing waste and our impact on the environment, Jason creates new surroundings and special and limited edition works of the finest quality.
We look forward to exploring the complementary ground between us, and to working closely together on private and corporate client projects moving forward.

Aidan Donovan
Aidan is a narrative-focused furniture designer and maker using sustainably-sourced, British timber to make beautiful pieces for the modern home.
His practice is focused on weaving in the personal details of client briefs, with unexpected and exciting visual influences to create furniture that celebrates handwork, traditional solid timber construction, and functional, contemporary design. He specialises in bespoke commissions and small-scale production pieces, each designed to tell a unique story.
Aidan takes a Modernist approach to design although he is deeply influenced by the freedom and irregular beauty of so-called vernacular forms and folk-art. Through the use of storytelling, a robust design philosophy and an appreciation of the everyday, Aidan strives to create beautiful, functional, and heirloom-quality pieces that are designed to last and to be loved.
Aidan is with us for bespoke commission projects and has kindly agreed to work on an ‘exclusive to Teer & Co’ piece that we look forward to showcasing and offering for sale through our Collection in the coming months.

Jan Waterston
Jan established his studio with the goal to explore the junction between art, craft, and design. Driven by forms ability to disrupt a space, objects are realised through traditional exploration of material, and grounded through conceptual meaning.
Working independently, Jan offers a range of speculative works, bespoke commission pieces, and furniture collections, all exclusively made to order. Often inspired by his speculative pieces that explore abstract ideas realised through the deep practical study of both material and process, bespoke commissioned works are developed to compliment a client’s distinct vision. To date, Jan has undertaken international collaborations with architects, interior designers, curators, and private collectors.
Jan originally completed a traditional City and Guilds in cabinet making, later going on to the prestigious Rycotewood Furniture School where he obtained a first-class hon in Furniture Design and Fine Craft. On graduating, he undertook a yearlong residency at The Sylva Wood Foundation where he continued to refine his practice and won multiple industry awards.
Jan then founded his own studio where he strives to further develop his traditional woodworking methods with contemporary processes, whilst keeping the material firmly at the centre of his practice.

Giles Miller
Giles is the founder of Giles Miller Studio, a practice creating acclaimed and award-winning work for some of the world’s most prestigious brands and clients including; Stella McCartney, Selfridges, the V&A and the Design Museum.
Giles works with a team of talented designers, artists and artisan makers to push the boundaries of innovation within the world of art, sculpture and architecture.
The studio creates artistically focused surfaces that bring new meaning to spaces by celebrating the relationship between the way materials interact with light as well as their surroundings.
The scope and scale of the studio’s work ranges from miniature individual components to artworks the size of buildings, and the characteristic aesthetic comes from the fusion of technology with the handmade.
The resulting complexity of meticulously arranged components creates richness, tactility, depth and allure.

Will James
Will is an established designer-maker creating timeless fine furniture from a small studio and workshop in central London.
He draws inspiration from the geometric patterns in the environment around us; both from the natural world and urban surroundings. His style is most aligned with the qualities of mid 20th Century Scandinavian design, with a focus on materials, simplicity, function and elegance.
Will has many years of experience making bespoke fine furniture for discerning clients in London and beyond. Originally self taught, Will honed his skills at the internationally renowned Waters & Acland furniture school in the Lake District, UK.
Will has experience in working to plans from interior designers and private clients and is with us initially for bespoke commission work.

Carl Fox
Carl is a London based leather craftsman and marquetry artist who works from his studio in Greenwich.
Carl has dedicated his spare time over the last twenty five years to learn a range of craft skills that have culminated in the practice he has today. Ranging from interior design to upholstery, textile work to furniture restoration, Carl eventually discovered leather craft and it's been a love affair ever since.
Carl's process is heavily influenced by mid century and brutalist architecture alongside modernist design. Inspired by the work of Oscar Niemeyer, Frank Lloyd-Wright, Miro, Mondrian and more, he uses geometric abstraction to create thought provoking pieces that the viewer can get lost in.
Carl is passionate about using as many existing materials as possible. He favours using leather that has been produced for the luxury fashion industry and, due to overproduction, has become unused surplus stock. Pairing this with wood veneer, often offcuts, he designs marquetry artworks with a nostalgic nod to a past era.

Paul Hillary
Paul is a British abstract and semi-abstract artist influenced by atmospheres in nature as well as everyday textures in urban and rural environments.
Working largely in oil and acrylic, Paul is constantly exploring with technique, colour ways and texture in his art, capturing abstract images of old stressed skips, textures in nature and abstract colour combinations in what he sees. Themes from these observations are translated into his artworks in an abstract or semi-abstract manor.
Paul has built a reputation for his work in the UK, USA and Europe. He paints in his studio in Hertfordshire and exhibits widely in the home counties of the UK. Typically, his pieces are over one metre in size, but he also creates studies at a smaller size.
His home county of Cumbria and the Lake District is always a source of inspiration as are frequent trips to the Isles and coastlines around the UK, particularly the Hebrides and Cornwall, as well as stays further afield. The play of light on the ocean and land, and the atmospheres the light conjures inspire Paul. He strives to create a ‘Sense of Scape’ in his paintings rather than create representative pieces and works in mixed media including acrylic on both canvas and wood panel.

Edward Wild
Edward is an award-winning designer-maker creating handmade bespoke furniture in an elegant contemporary style. His one-off commissions and limited-edition pieces combine the finest materials with skilled craftsmanship, to create pieces which enrich their surroundings and see clients returning time and again.
The clean contemporary style with strong simple lines found throughout Edward’s work are strongly influenced by classical form and proportion going back to the ancient Greeks alongside the modernist movement of the early 20th century and the Brutalist modernist architecture of the UK in the 1950s-60s. With simplified elegant form emphasised by detail lines and beautiful woods, these characteristics allow his versatile pieces to sit pleasingly within both contemporary and traditional settings.
Edward focuses on free standing pieces, including; side tables, desks and chests of drawers alongside fine luxury boxes through to elegant dining, lounge and bedroom furniture. Each piece is a celebration of the collaborative process, from the first pencil drawings to the bespoke design and intricate hand craftsmanship of the final piece.
Edward’s passion for quality craftsmanship extends beyond the design and making to the sourcing of timbers, with a brother in the forestry industry he is able to source both interesting and beautiful timber which help to make his work truly unique.

Matt Podesta
Matt is an award-winning designer of contemporary and classic free-standing and fitted domestic furniture and kitchens. He believes a strong sense of proportion and the right materials go hand-in-hand. His passion for architectural design, shapes, structures and materials – both classical and contemporary – is a huge influence on his work.
With a BA (Hons) in Industrial Design and Manufacture (Furniture) Matt has worked for some of the industry’s leading furniture companies including Habitat, Tom Dixon, Luke Hughes, Smallbone and Mark Wilkinson. Matt ran an award-winning consultancy from 2002 to 2018 and designs for private clients as well as being Co-Founder and Creative Director of Huckleberry which offers fitted and freestanding kitchens and furniture inspired by Georgian sculleries and pantries.
Awards include Kitchen Design of the Year 2015, Kitchen Designer of the Year 2012 and 2015 (finalist 2014), shortlisted for the Homes & Gardens Kitchen Designer of the Year 2014.
As a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Furniture Makers, Matt sits on the Bespoke Guild Mark committee that awards the UK’s finest furniture makers. Matt has mentored students and recent graduates on the Committee for Young Designers. Matt often talks on furniture design and helped establish the UK’s first ever degree course in Kitchen Design.

Jay Achilles
Jay is a furniture designer and maker based in Camberwell, South East London. With an eye for detail and an inquisitive nature, his self-taught journey led him to discover a love for design, and philosophy rooted in longevity, allowing him to create furniture that marries traditional joinery and modern design.
As well as producing thoughtfully timeless designs, Jay is passionate about the material he uses. By using only the highest quality and sustainably sourced timber, that he carefully selects by hand, Jay creates furniture to a very high standard, that lasts.
With a distinctive style that heavily features rounded edges, soft curves and sculpted joints, his pieces retain a modern feel whilst staying true to a classic timeless style. By creating furniture designed and made to stand the tests of time, Jay sees his pieces being passed down through generations, lovingly and proudly displayed in homes for years to come.

Jonathan Field
Jonathan is an experienced and award-winning designer-maker creating unique and limited edition pieces from his studio in East London. His focus is creating a balance between elegance and functionality, with a simplicity of line, form and materials, making pieces that are easy to live with and give both visual and tactile pleasure.
While focusing primarily on the design’s functionality, Jonathan incorporates through his choice of natural materials a timeless feel that will, through use, be complemented with a patina of age. In his practice, Jonathan interprets the human longing for a deeper connection to traditional crafts, contemporary aesthetics and an engagement with natural materials, allied to a story made visceral through the maker’s time and hand.
Jonathan works closely with Andy Gravelius, who brings to his work precise care and attention to detail, coupled with a consistent quality of overview and craftsmanship. Together, they have in-depth knowledge of using traditional and new materials, and a clear understanding of technologies and processes. And they work closely with other disciplines such as metal fabricators or upholsterers whenever a project requires such collaboration.

Mandie Beuzeval
Mandie is a furniture designer and maker based in the East End of London. Her love of wood and a passion for process informs her approach to designing beautiful, modern, versatile and high quality furniture. Mandie has spent years photographing buildings, structures and the spaces in between; this architectural inspiration continues to influence her design practice.
Beuzeval Furniture favours traditional craft over mass production; the furniture, whether bespoke or part of a small batch, is handmade with care to achieve fine detail and beautiful finish. Designs include a range of benches, stools and tables in hardwoods of ash, oak, walnut, cherry and London plane. Other work takes on the form of vertical folding structures, striking and versatile furniture that can take on different configurations depending on how and where they are placed in a room.
All hardwoods are FSC certified and wastage from production is either taken for bedding at a local city farm or reused on other smaller projects.

Maria Sigma
Based in London, Maria is an award-winning weaver specialising in 'zero waste' ethical hand-woven textiles. Using sustainable natural materials such as cashmere, British Alpaca and British lambswool, Maria’s work celebrates a timeless high aesthetic via 'zero waste' design and a slow-making ethic, combining a contemporary approach of traditional weaving techniques and focusing on raw natural materials and texture.
Inspired by nature and her Greek heritage, in combination with a love for maths and craftsmanship, Maria makes vibrant but minimal contemporary textile artworks that creatively interpret long-established traditional craft techniques and styles. Removing any superfluous elements, Maria skilfully creates beautiful high-quality hand-woven textiles that are designed to become timeless heirlooms. The aspiration for textile longevity through simplicity and sensibility is central to Maria’s stunning work.

Sandy Buchanan
Sandy is a bespoke furniture and sculpture designer-maker based in Beckenham, SE London. Sandy turned to making and craft in the pursuit of meaningful work. His creations are influenced by a childhood growing up in Hong Kong, the Chinese and Japanese appreciation and heritage of woodworking and his choice of material.
Sandy works exclusively with fallen trees sourced from the British Isles, which means he knows what wood, estate or street his timber has come from and why it has come down, be it storm damage, disease or more unfortunately development. He passes these details onto his clients, providing a chain of custody for the materials in each piece.
The goal is always the same, saving beautiful timber that would otherwise be chipped, burnt or sent to landfill and taking the opportunity to preserve the story of that tree in a beautiful piece of furniture crafted in such a way as to make sure the piece will last and be passed down through generations.

Byron & Gómez
Established in 2015, Byron & Gómez is a partnership of designer makers dedicated to creating beautiful handcrafted furniture from their workshop in Somerset. Charles Byron and Maria Gómez have a love of contemporary design and a passion for traditional craft.
As cabinet makers, their training instilled in them a meticulous attention to detail which is evident in both the design and execution of their stunning work. Through the use of high quality materials and their commitment to a simple harmony of form and function, Charles and Maria create furniture that is bold yet understated. They were awarded a Bespoke and a Design Guild mark in their first three years in business. These are the most prestigious awards for excellence in design for manufacture and excellence in craftsmanship for bespoke pieces.

Tim Evershed
Before starting his own studio in 2017 to produce furniture for residential and commercial spaces with a focus on craftsmanship, material, longevity and purpose, Tim studied Product Design, then trained as a Cabinet-maker and worked for several furniture makers on the South Coast.
His work is underpinned by the exploration of traditional craft techniques, an understanding of natural material and a modern design aesthetic that draws influence from Shaker and Danish Mid-century archetype.
Tim sources sustainable timber from local tree surgeons and sawmills across the South of England, always selecting each board himself and scrutinising against his own high standards.

Namon Gaston
Namon has been designing and making furniture from his Edinburgh based Studio since 2005. His career has merged both disciplines of design and craftsmanship.
From his apprenticeship as a cabinetmaker in rural Scotland, to working with noted international furniture manufacturers. Namon produces a diverse range of work, designing for commercial production as well as the bespoke manufacture of private commissions.
His award winning furniture has become synonymous with its high quality, honest design and rich understanding for the materials with which he works.

Sebastian Cox
Sebastian is a designer and craftsman dedicated to proving that sustainable design does not have to result in a compromised product. Sebastian fell in love with wood and hand-cut dovetails when he studied Furniture Design and Craftsmanship at Lincoln University.
After graduating he went on to complete an MA in Design, with the highest Distinction the university had ever awarded a masters student. He spent time at Lincoln exploring coppiced hazel, discovering a great love of William Morris and the arts and crafts movement - three of the greatest influences in his successful career to date.
Today, with the help of his team in London he uses his devotion to wood, curiosity, inventiveness, award-winning designs and exquisite craftsmanship to make beautiful, useful and completely sustainable objects.
