Innovative functionality, easy manual transition

To our knowledge, TeeBeu is the first solid timber desk and stool design that combines to create an integrated sit-stand workstation. The clever-simplicity with our TeeBeu Sit-Stand Workstation lies in the dual-purpose design of the adjustable-height stool, and its integration with the desk on which the stool is placed for stand-working. The manual transition from sitting to stand-working is simple, takes just seconds, stimulates added movement and is good exercise for varying posture throughout the day.

The ‘standard’ for desk heights doesn't suit average UK male/female heights.

In our research to inform the development of TeeBeu, we discovered that most standard desk and table heights that people work at in an office or at home are typically 73-75cm. This is an ideal height for people that are 6ft or more tall, whereas the average UK female is 5ft 3in and the average male is 5ft 9in tall. Our TeeBeu Sit-Stand Workstation has been designed and considered for people around these average heights, and that use a laptop.

Leading a sedentary WFH lifestyle is not ok

Turning a blind eye to the real health risks associated with leading a sedentary WFH lifestyle is foolish. If on average you currently sit at a desk to work for 6-7 hours per day 5 days per week, that’s 30-35 hours of an average 40 hour working week spent sitting. And this excludes sitting time every evening and at weekends.

Designed for those that fundamentally want to move more frequently in their work from home lives, Teer & Co working in collaboration with experienced furniture designer and maker Mandie Beuzeval of Beuzeval Furniture has developed TeeBeu, an ergonomically considered functional sit-stand workstation that will stimulate increased movement when desk-working from home.
