Impressive boards with a subtle appearance interspersed with a clear surface structure.

Douglas Fir plank in 3-layer construction with a small bevel on long side and approx. 4 mm top layer, with approx. 4 mm backing in the same wood and a conifer middle layer. Tongue and groove on all sides for easy installation. 

Typical are few bony, well-embedded knots up to 60 mm diameter and pronounced formation of the annual rings. Cotter as well as isolated knotholes, splints and cracks are possible and are closed with appropriate wood putty. Small open cracks and unsealed spots of a few millimetres are permitted.

The planks are untreated and have not received a thermo treatment (Vulcano). The wood is obtained from carefully managed forests managed within Central Europe. The mafi philosophy ensures the complete tree is used and nothing is wasted. The resulting variations in lengths and width underline the character of a natural wooden floor.

* A range of ‘fixed dimensions’ (see Product Data Sheet download below) are generally possible, however an extra charge for this will be applied. mafi always uses the entire tree which is naturally different in length and width. The additional charge for fixed dimensions is because the room for manoeuvre during production are tight and more difficult in terms of raw materials.
