Surface Design Show & BIID Collaboration Event

Great to spend time at the Surface Design Show in the Business Design Centre.

The show was buzzing and having exhibited ourselves at Planted last year, it’s fantastic to see exhibitions and events back in full swing after experiencing up close, with a valued client, the significant impact of Covid on the industry.

SDS opened its Loyalty Lounge to BIID Members and Industry Partners for a Collaboration Breakfast event. BIID President Lindsey Rendall hosted a talk with Robert Thake of Robert London Design and Helena Martin of Hollaway Studio about how the dynamics of building relationships differs between large and small practices.

As a recently appointed BIID Industry Partner, the talk was very insightful, and the informal networking that followed between Interior Designers and Industry Partners of the BIID was welcomed.

Great to also spend time at SDS catching up with our friends that make our Decorative Panelling range who were showing the Acoustic Series panels, shown below.

These new panels have been undergoing sound absorption class testing and will become available to order from our Collection very soon. For details please contact simon@simonteer.com.

We also took the opportunity to discuss and plan an exciting new private client enquiry we are exploring with their interior designer for a large new feature wall installation using a mix of our 2D & 3D decorative wall panel models and stain colours. 

A great day, fantastic event, amazing exhibitors showcasing many innovative new products, productive conversations and an interesting seminar programme.
